Gateway Christian School hosted the 2K Blast Cross Country Meet last month that yielded approximately 130 elementary and middle school students from all over Chaves County.
All athletes raced on a 2000 meter cross country course that started and finished on the Warrior Track. Gateway student, Luke Yates, was 4th in the elementary boys division while classmate, Norah Bamberg, won the elementary girls.
Norah and her fellows classmates and runners, Lakynn Taylor, Emma Berry, Meg Worley, Tevya LaDuca, Annabelle Carter, and sisters Ruth and Rachel McMahon won the team division and the annual traveling trophy. Full results from the meet are available here.
